Vinyasa Yoga for Core Development (ongoing)
Peak Performance Multisport, 317 Marginal WayNovember 2 - December 21, 2008, 8:00 AM
Okay runners, swimmers, walkers, skiers, cyclists, triathletes its way beyond time that you join us for one of our Vinyasa Flow Yoga sessions!
A little bit about Vinyasa Flow Yoga:
Simply put - it connects the mind with the body through breath and teaches focus and relaxation while also increasing balance, strength and flexibility.
Practicing yoga increases balance by training and using both sides of the body rather than relying on the dominant side. Strength increases as you gain control of your muscles in order to correctly align your body within a posture. Flexibility increases as you stretch your muscles and enhance your range of motion. Improving these three essential components of physical fitness will lower your chances for injury and prepare you for your next intense workout.
The most important benefits from yoga are mental. Anyone who is prepared to swim, bike, run or ski for over two hours knows the importance of mental strength. We will teach you how to approach challenges with equanimity, how to breath through discomfort and how to stay centered even when things get tough. You will learn to look for your soft edge and breathe into that sensation allowing you to open deeper into your practice.
Elizabeth Brazier (multisport athlete, runner, and superstar swimmer) will teach the Sunday AM sessions. She is currently committed to the path of becoming a Vinyasa Flow certified yoga instructor and studies with founder Shiva Rea. She is also an awesome middle school teacher in her spare time!
Join us and allow yoga to enhance your life and bring clarity, energy and healing.
