[updated 6/11] Belfast Bicycle Club Time Trial Results.
June 9, 2008On Sunday June 8th, the 16.2 (8.1 out and back) mile Belfast Bicycle Time Trial race was held in the Searsport area.
Fred Thomas of Cape Elizabeth, won in a time of 34:41(breaking his previous course record of 34:55) and Erin Brennan of Portland won the women's division in a time of 41:00 (also breaking her previous course record of 41:41). Both were riding Cervelo P3C bikes.
Doug Chaisson took second overall in a time of 37:16 and Liddy Hubbell, finished the race second in the women's division in a time of 42:32 and winning her 45-54 age category.
The four fastest times of the day resulted in age group category wins. Overall winner Fred Thomas in the 35-44 age category and Doug Chaisson in the 45-54 age group. Milan Babik, finished third overall, won his 18-34 age category in a time of 37:13. And James Marshall, finishing forth overall, won his 55-64 age category in a time of 37:35.
Kate Goupee finished first in the women's 18-34 age group category in a time of 48:01.
John Marshall won the 65-74 age group category in a time of 42:52. In the 75+ age group, George Walsh won in a time of 58:40.
