Hinckley Time Trial Series Results.
July 7, 2008On a clear, calm, 80 degree Sunday (7/6) morning, the 12 mile flat and rolling terrain Hinckley Time Trial race was held in the Hinckley - Skowhegan area. This race series segment was locally sponsored by Skowhegan Savings and SAPPI.
John Meerse of Portland, won in a time of 26:27 and Erin Brennan also of Portland, and 16th overall, won the women's division by completing the race in a time of 30:05.
Ryan McDonald of Lebanon finished in 27:20, just under a minute behind Meerse, coming in second overall and first in his age group. Liddy Hubbel of Bar Harbor was second overall women, and first in her age category, finishing the race in a time of 31:06.
Daniel Hickey of Lincolnville, third overall, won the 45-54 age group category in a time of 27:32. Rocky Freeman of Rangeley - our own Josh Freeman's father - won the 55-64 age group category in a time of 30:21.
Taylor Schawartz of Manchester won the 17-and-under male category in a time of 31:19 and Margaret Moore of Portland won the women's 18-34 age group in a time of 34:44.
John Marshall of Addison won the 65-74 age group division in a time of 31:34 and George Walsh of Jay won the men's 75-and-over age category in a time of 41:17.
Alan and Gayle Cunningham of Winslow were the sole competitors in the tandem exhibition race division - finishing in a time of 31:50. Very cool!
