Midcoast Time Trial results.
May 12, 20082007 overall series winners, Fred Thomas and Erin Brennan, take first in the second Peak Performance Maine Time Trial series race.
On Sunday May 11th, the 15 mile out-and-back Midcoast Time Trial race was held in the Camden-Rockport area.
Riding Cervelo P3C time trial bicycles, Fred Thomas won in a time of 33:00 - setting a new course record (previously held by Fred in a time of 33:39) and Erin Brennan, finished 12th overall, winning the women's division in a time of 39:19 - two seconds off her 2007 course record of 39:17.
Seth Brooker takes second overall in a time of 34:47 and Marianne Stover, just 49 seconds behind Erin, finished the race second (and 13th overall) in a time of 40:08. Ron Bourgoin, only ONE second behind Seth, in a time of 34:48 and Carol Meader (42:58) finish third.
Milan Babik, 29, won the men's 18-34 age group in a time of 37:05. And Lily Hamil, 22, won the women's 18-34 in a time of 50:45.
Doug Chiasson, 53, won the men's 45-54 age group in 35:17 and Liddy Hubbell, 48, won the women's same age group in a time of 44:05.
Jim Marshall, 55, and Gwendolyn O'Guin, 59, win in the 55-64 age group in times of 36:22 and 46:37 respectively.
The youngest competitor in the field, Ian Carlisle, 16, won his under 17 age group and finished with a time of 52:59 and Charles Cary, 65, won the 65-74 age group catagory by finishing in a time of 45:08.
